How to prepare for a house call visit

  • For cats and dogs, skip breakfast or feed a smaller than usual breakfast the morning of the visit, so that they are hungry and ready for treats when the doctor comes.

  • For pets that are prone to hiding, have your pet contained in a space where the doctor can easily access them. If a pet cannot be found or is out of reach at the time of the visit, the doctor will not be able to provide the same quality of services and the visit may be cut short.

  • For pets that are extremely fearful or aggressive, consider scheduling a virtual visit prior to a house call so that the doctor can discuss the best treatment strategy with you.

  • Have any previous medical records sent to info@bellfamilyvet.com prior to the visit so that the doctor can review the records beforehand and come in fully prepared to give your pet the care it needs.
